About Heather
I am a Trinity CertTESOL certified teacher. I am originally from the US and have lived in the UK since 2009.
I have lived in Germany for 5.5 years and I know firsthand what it's like to live in a country when you are not skilled at the language. My classes are not stressful but they are effective. :)
My university degree was Spanish so I know how difficult it can be to learn a language. My goal is to help you to improve your English as quick as possible and to get that pass certificate for your visa extension.
I am fully flexible to meet on these days: Wed - Sun.

Option 1: Test Preparation
If your spouse, partner or family member needs help to pass the Home Office English test for a visa extension, give me a call.
- I'll meet (free!) with the student for 30 min to assess their language level and ability.
- I'll work with you to choose to the right test for your person's situation.
- I'll outline a plan, how many sessions do we need, what will we do, what type of homework is needed and when the student will be ready.
- We will practice the 'test day' scenario multiple times so that your person will be comfortable and confident on the real test day.
Even if your student has failed these tests in the past, we can improve skills and confidence to get a passing score. Even if your person has minimal reading and writing skills, these speaking tests are possible to pass.
Option 2: Mock/Practice Exam
Book 1 lesson with me and I will run it like a mock exam. I will administer the exam and then the remainder of the hour will be feedback of strengths and weaknesses and what your student needs to improve in order to pass the exam.
If you are local to Chelmsford, Essex I can meet with you in person either at your home or mine, otherwise my meetings are fully online.
