About Callie

Hola! Soy Callie ("Cali"), profe y traductora estadounidense a tu disposición para facilitarte lograr tus objetivos que se tratan del idioma inglés! I'm here for all your English language needs. I've taught classes to all ages and in all concentrations, including preparation for international exams, school tutoring, and functional language (for the travelers like me!) I want all of my students to have fun and feel comfortable with making mistakes; I am also a student of the world and of Spanish and French languages (I learn something new every day!) and the only way to really learn is by making mistakes. My objectives are yours, and having said that, my methods are centered around the student--you are going to be speaking, writing, and playing non-stop in the language! I know that these days online learning can feel draining, so my priority is energizing my students to express themselves confidently in English!

About the lesson

I have been teaching English as a second language for 6 years, and 9 years tutoring school subjects (those years include experience with other English speakers). I have had hundreds of students! Some are still in primary or secondary school but others have received scholarships to study in the US and abroad, or have been integrated into American society (they are immigrants and refugees).

Preparing for lessons takes time and resources, and as such I ask that you make payments in advance so that if something comes up or a cancellation is necessary, I can accommodate my schedule. I always offer make up lessons if a student needs to cancel more than 24hrs before class, or if there are extenuating circumstances.
