About Ashton
After graduating from the University of Leeds in the summer of 2015 with a bachelors in Economics and Politics, tutoring quickly became an interest for me.
It is extremely rewarding to see students progress and develop their understanding in a way they may have been unable to under different circumstances. Tuition offers students a new way to experience, learn and truly comprehend rather than just retaining and reciting information.
As a recent graduate who was expected to complete various extensive research projects, I have developed skills that are essential in promoting effective independent learning and studying. As well as this, studying economics has helped me to hone my mathematical abilities which are already built on a strong foundation since achieving A* grade in GCSE maths and A grades in both AS and A2 level maths.
I devote most of my spare time to listening to, writing and performing music. I play both the drums and the guitar and offer tuition in both instruments.

Deadly! Amazing, Outstanding Tutor
I hired Ashton to help my 16-year-old daughter to improve from an A to an A* in her Maths GCSE. I would thoroughly recommend Ashton as a maths tutor because he is:
• very flexible and accommodating
• explains topics in a clear, concise way
• has a friendly approach#
We are very disappointed that he does not tutor in Maths A-Level.

Ashton tutored my 12 year old daughter in maths for a whole week and was absolutely brilliant. He taught very well and clearly explainef any difficulties in a easy to understand way.
For a long while I was looking to get into drums, and I'm happy that when I did, I chose Ashton to be my tutor, as he has done an excellent job in quickly progressing me from scratch, to be able to follow a beat from a grade 1 book. I am still undergoing lessons with Ashton, and I have found each of his lessons very enjoyable with his organised and progressive lesson plans, along with his general helpful suggestions during the lessons. For an enjoyable, and beneficial learning experience I wouldn't hesitate to suggest Ashton, as I have found throughout my own experience he is a great professional in the way he conducts both his preparation and his lessons.
