About Andrea
My name is Andrea. I've been playing the piano for 18 years and teaching for the past 6 years.
I'm originally from Ukraine where I graduated from the music academy. I offer tuition in both Russian and English languages.
I tutor pupils from beginner to Grade 8 Associated Board exams.
I mainly teach classical music and music theory.
I worked as a piano teacher at the Children's School of Art in Ukraine and have been tutoring pupils in England for the past 5 years.

My students learn not only how to play the piano, but also music theory, aural skills and also learn a lot about different musical instruments and music history.
I believe that playing an instrument can lead to a sense of achievement, an increase in self-esteem, increased confidence, self -discipline and provide a means of self-expression. These may increase motivation for learning in general.
My approach to every student is absolutely different according to their age, reasons to learn music, musical capabilities, physical abilities, and their knowledge of music in general.
I'm using the repertoire which includes a lot of popular pieces of classical music which have been specially arranged to make them easy to play for students.
I always encourage students to listen to classical music, learn about composers and periods in which they lived.
My goal is to develop intellectual capabilities through music.

My 5 years old son takes private piano lessons with Andrea. Her music material is systematic and she is very experienced in teaching young kids. Charlie progresses steadily and gains confidence from the encouragement from Andrea. I cannot recommend Andrea highly enough. She is a very professional and patient piano teacher.
