About Michael

I am passionate about making science and geography accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for students. With a strong academic foundation, I bring real-world examples and a love for learning to every session. My experience in programme design and education has allowed me to develop effective teaching strategies that help students grasp complex concepts with clarity. As a dedicated and patient tutor, I focus on building confidence and fostering curiosity, ensuring students feel supported every step of the way. My lessons are not just about passing exams but also about cultivating a deeper understanding of the subject and its relevance to the world around us. I pride myself on being approachable, professional, and adaptable to individual learning styles, ensuring each student can achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach and Teaching Methodology I take a personalised and interactive approach to tutoring, ensuring lessons are tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style. I break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps, using practical examples, diagrams, and real-world applications to make learning engaging and relatable. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, providing a structured session with a mix of concept explanations, practice questions, and exam-focused strategies to build confidence and subject mastery. I also incorporate regular progress checks to track improvement and adjust teaching methods as needed. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with Honours and am currently pursuing an MSc in Global Sustainability Solutions at the University of Exeter. My academic background, combined with experience creating educational programmes, allows me to simplify challenging topics effectively. These online lessons are designed for GCSE and A-Level students aged 14 to 18 who want to excel in Environmental Science, Geography, and related sciences. Whether you’re looking to improve exam performance, strengthen understanding, or gain confidence in the subject, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.
