About Eilidh
I am 26 years old and from the Highlands of Scotland. I love to travel, paint and go to the gym in my free time. I learned Spanish through immersion in Argentina, Paraguay and Colombia and was brought up bilingual in Scottish Gaelic. A recent graduate in a BA (Hons) Open Degree in Latin, Neurobiology, Forensic Psychology and Social Psychology.
I worked at Kaplan International school in Edinburgh's centre for two years and I thoroughly enjoyed teaching there. I have experience teaching a range of ages and levels from all over the world. I studied my TESOL course with 'Active Language' in Cadiz, Spain, in 2023. I worked with a summer school called TargetEnglish for 6 weeks where we would teach predominantly Italian and Turkish groups of teenagers.
I have experience teaching General English, Business English and exam preparation however, specialising in IELTS.
I primarily worked through the teaching platform Preply however, expanding to Superprof.

My approach is to adapt all lessons to the leaner's needs, whether that be to improve speaking, writing or exam preparation, using ESL teaching materials from a broad range of sources - coursebooks, online resources as well as authentic materials. My main focus is always to improve the confidence of the learner and of course, have fun!
