About Garry
I have been active in the ESL industry for over 15 years. During this time I have lived and worked in a number of Asian countries and have supported business and IELTS students from all over the world.
I have have had particular success in tutoring IELTS students from around the world and have maintained a successful pass rate of 6.00 or better among my students.
I have also taught in a chinese public college for 4 years supporting business students in their successful attainment of their degree.
I have also taught one on one classes to many students focusing on their particular needs and goals in english.

Learning strategies vary among individual students and I pride myself on focusing on the particular style that benefits the most.
Students mostly already have life experience and I focus on their particular needs and current environment as a platform that can be expanded and refined to support their language transition.
Teaching is a reciprocal activity and I also learn a lot from my students.
IELTS strategies vary a little as the test requires specific responses from the student. In general we focus more on academic vocabulary and common phrasing to obtain the best result.
