About Dean
My journey with Excel began while working on academic and professional projects that required accurate data management and clear reporting. I earned a B.Sc in Business Information Systems, where I studied data analysis, information systems, and business intelligence tools in depth. Over the past 10 years, I have supported students, professionals, and beginners in building confidence through structured Excel instruction. I believe Excel should feel logical and approachable, not overwhelming. My teaching style emphasises patience, clarity, and real-world relevance. I take time to explain not only how formulae work, but why they behave the way they do. Many learners arrive feeling unsure, but gradually become confident as they understand the logic behind each step. Outside teaching, I continue refining my Excel expertise by exploring advanced reporting methods, automation tools, and practical data projects. Teaching Excel is deeply rewarding because it empowers learners with skills that improve efficiency, confidence, and decision-making across many areas of life.

Excel becomes a powerful and accessible tool when learners understand how structure, logic, and formulae work together to support accurate decision-making. In my lessons, I guide students through spreadsheet fundamentals such as data organisation, formatting, formulae, functions, charts, logical conditions, and pivot tables using real-life scenarios. I focus on helping learners feel comfortable working with data rather than intimidated by complex spreadsheets. Lessons are carefully adapted to suit each learner’s background and goals. Beginners focus on navigation, clean data entry, basic formulae, and formatting techniques. Intermediate learners develop confidence using logical functions, lookups, data validation, and charts. Advanced learners explore pivot tables, dashboards, reporting workflows, and efficiency techniques that reflect real workplace needs. Hands-on practice is integrated into every session. Excel lessons also improve organisation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. As learners gain clarity, they work faster and with greater confidence. My goal is to help students develop practical Excel skills that support academic success, workplace productivity, and independent problem-solving.
