About Indira

My interest in Excel and data management developed through working with spreadsheets for academic projects and business analysis tasks. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems followed by a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics. During the past 6 years, I have helped students and professionals improve their spreadsheet skills through practical guidance and structured learning methods.

I believe technical learning should feel approachable and useful rather than stressful or confusing. My teaching style focuses on step-by-step explanation, real-life applications, and interactive exercises that help learners understand how Excel works in practical situations. I encourage students to practise actively during lessons because confidence develops naturally through hands-on experience and repetition.

Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring data visualisation tools, reporting systems, and business analysis techniques. Staying updated with digital tools helps me keep lessons relevant and practical for modern learners. Teaching Excel is rewarding because I enjoy helping students gain skills that improve both academic and professional confidence. My goal is always to support learners in becoming organised, capable, and confident users of spreadsheet technology.

About the lesson

My Excel lessons focus on helping students build practical spreadsheet skills through clear instruction, hands-on practice, and real-world examples. I teach formulae, functions, charts, pivot tables, formatting, data organisation, and reporting techniques in a simple and structured way. Students learn how to use Excel confidently for academic work, office tasks, and professional projects without feeling overwhelmed by technical complexity. Every lesson encourages active learning and practical application.

Lessons are personalised according to the learner’s experience level and goals. Beginners focus on spreadsheet basics, data entry, and simple formulae, while advanced learners work on automation, dashboards, advanced functions, and data analysis tools. I include practical exercises during every session because hands-on learning improves understanding and long-term retention more effectively. Students are encouraged to practise regularly and explore different methods for solving tasks efficiently.

I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident using Excel for real situations. Many learners initially feel nervous about spreadsheets, so I focus on simplifying tasks into smaller steps that are easier to understand and apply. Over time, students improve not only technical skills but also organisation, accuracy, and confidence in handling data independently. Excel becomes much more useful and enjoyable when learners understand its practical value clearly.
