About Nola
My passion for Excel began when I discovered how spreadsheets can simplify complex tasks and support smarter decision making. I earned a B.Sc in Business Computing and later completed an M.Sc in Financial Information Systems, which strengthened my understanding of data organization and professional reporting. Over 7 years of teaching, I have helped students build Excel skills that improve both academic and career readiness.
I believe Excel is best learned through real practice rather than memorization. My teaching style focuses on patience, clarity, and step-by-step guidance so students understand why each tool matters. I encourage learners to experiment, ask questions, and grow confident through active problem solving.
Outside tutoring, I continue exploring data productivity tools, financial modeling techniques, and modern spreadsheet innovations. Teaching Excel is rewarding because students often gain confidence quickly and see immediate results. Supporting learners as they master such a practical skill is deeply fulfilling.

Excel becomes a powerful skill when learners realize it is not only about entering numbers, but about organizing information and making decisions with clarity. In my lessons, I teach students how to use formulas, logical functions, data cleaning tools, charts, pivot tables, and reporting techniques in a practical and supportive way. I focus on helping learners build strong spreadsheet habits that feel useful for school, business, and workplace success.
Lessons are structured around the learner’s level. Beginners start with formatting, basic calculations, and essential functions like SUM, AVERAGE, and IF. Intermediate learners strengthen skills with lookup functions, conditional formatting, structured tables, and error-checking strategies. Advanced students explore dashboard building, pivot table reporting, automation basics, and professional workflow design. Every session includes hands-on exercises and guided feedback so learning becomes lasting.
