About Bilal
Hi! I’m a kind, friendly and patient tutor who understands what it’s like to struggle with maths — because I’ve been there myself. I was once predicted an E in GCSE Maths, but through hard work, the right support, and a growing love for solving problems, I turned it around and achieved an A. That moment when everything “clicks” in maths is something I find incredibly satisfying, and it’s what I aim to create for every student I teach. I went on to earn a 2:1 degree in Mathematics and I’m now preparing to start my PGCE in Secondary Maths this September. I specialise in algebra and enjoy helping students build confidence, understand the ‘why’ behind each topic, and enjoy learning. Outside of maths, I’m a big football fan and love bringing energy and fun into my lessons. I believe learning should be something students look forward to, and I work hard to create a relaxed, supportive space where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.

I’m a warm and patient tutor who specialises in teaching algebra to students in Years 7–11 (KS3 and GCSE level). I break down each concept step by step, making sure my students fully understand the “why” behind the method — not just how to get the answer. My aim is to build confidence and help students see that algebra doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I like to keep lessons interactive, using short quizzes and quick-fire questions to check understanding as we go. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes, and I always encourage questions and open discussion. I hold a 2:1 degree in Mathematics and an A in GCSE Maths, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more comfortable and confident with algebra. I'm also starting a PGCE in Secondary Maths this September, as I’m committed to becoming a fully qualified supporting even more students in reaching their potential.
