About Sean
I have worked for the VSB for 6 years in elementary and high school settings as an Education Assistant. I also have worked for the past 4 years in Vancouver Parks Board day camps as an Inclusion Facilitator and Access Services Program Assistant at several community centers.
These positions have allowed me to develop into an effective community and school support worker, capable of understanding individual needs of children and youth. They have also allowed me to develop the skill to connect with children and youth quickly. I really enjoy working with children and youth to reach their community and school-based goals.

As an individual who struggled with Math growing up, I understand how difficult and anxiety-inducing this subject can feel to students.
I have experience tutoring grades 1 to 9 in Math, and enjoy finding ways to gamify learning for those who could benefit from it.
As an EA, I have experience and success in working with individual students with a wide variety of learning and developmental disorders.
I further understand how to guide students to increase their understanding of numeracy and mathematical concepts without providing answers outright.
