About Felipe
I have taken seven years of Latin, from middle school to college (while pursuing an Associate of Arts degree), with the exception of senior year in high school, during which I took Spanish. I have completed all of these courses with As, with the exception of perhaps one or more Bs in college. I have received Gold Medals on the National Latin Exam, and took and the Latin Subject SAT in high school with a score above a 700 out of 800. I also received the Reverend Joseph Shea, S.J. Latin Medal while in high school.
I love learning Latin etymology and how Latin connects to other languages. I have sung Gregorian chant and sacred music, both in Latin, and taught two Latin classes during a high school volunteering project. I have tutored language before, having tutored and taught English to native Spanish speakers at Wall Street English in Santiago, Chile.

I may use materials the student provides, as well as my own resources, in order to help the student with practice exercises and translations, for example.
Although I would focus on areas of concern for the student if he or she is taking a Latin course or studying independently, I am also open to teaching.
Although I have taken more advanced Latin than middle and high school courses, my strength would lie in these levels. For example, if the student wants to score well on the National Latin Exam, I would be happy to teach, review, and practice with him or her, having taken this test various times at different levels myself.
