About Angeleena

Hi, I’m Angeleena, a 4th year Pharmacy student with a strong academic background in Maths and Chemistry. Having achieved A grades in National 5 and Higher Maths and Chemistry, as well as an A in Advanced Higher Maths and a B in Advanced Higher Chemistry, I have a solid understanding of the Scottish curriculum and exam requirements.

I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and working through topics at their own pace. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit their individual needs and preferred learning style.

My aim is not simply to help students memorise information, but to make sure they understand the processes and reasoning behind what they are learning. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident in their abilities and better prepared for their exams.

Whether a student needs help understanding difficult topics, practising exam questions or building their confidence in Maths or Chemistry, I’m happy to adapt my lessons to support them.

About the lesson

My main focus is making sure students understand the process behind a question rather than simply memorising answers. I believe that understanding why something works makes it much easier to apply the knowledge to different questions, especially in exams.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student and their preferred way of learning. Some students may benefit from working through examples together, while others may prefer more independent practice or focusing on specific topics they find difficult. I’m happy to adapt lessons to what the student finds most helpful.

Lessons will typically be around 1 hour and can include explaining key concepts, working through questions together, independent practice and going over any mistakes or areas the student is struggling with. I can also incorporate past-paper questions and exam technique to help students feel more confident going into assessments.

I offer tutoring for secondary school students studying National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Maths and Chemistry. As a current Pharmacy student, I understand the demands of these subjects and aim to make lessons supportive, engaging and suited to each student’s needs.
