About Dan
I am an experienced professional LAMDA trained actor, acting teacher and drama lecturer.
As an actor I've appeared in the West End and leading regional theatres, and worked with the BBC and National Theatre Studio.
As a teacher I've taught acting and drama at the University of York, the University of Northampton and St Mary's University Twickenham where I was Senior Lecturer in Acting and Programme Director for Acting and Drama degrees.
I've also prepared students for top drama schools like LAMDA, Guildhall, Gaiety, Royal Scottish and Mountview.
I also now have my own daughter who's taking her first LAMDA Exams.

I teach the person, rather than the class. Each learner is unique and comes to the work differently. My role is to adapt and find the right tools to help you express yourself with confidence, playfulness and clarity.
All my classes are 1 hour sessions and are currently taught online via Zoom.
I help students to select and work texts, exploring language, character and intention.
I work through improvisation to encourage fluency and ownership of the words.
I work with contemporary and classical speeches and can advise on both.
Since Covid I've prepared students for online industry showcases via Zoom.
