About Alexandra
I am a former middle and high school English teacher with years of experience helping students succeed in reading, writing, and beyond. Over the past decade, I’ve also mentored young adults as a Life Strategist, guiding them to build confidence, improve study skills, and develop the independence needed for long-term success. My background in both education and coaching allows me to meet students where they are—whether they need support with essay writing, comprehension, or executive functioning skills. I specialize in tutoring English, writing, and executive functioning skills for middle school, high school, and college-aged students. My approach is practical and student-centered: I combine content mastery (grammar, essay writing, reading comprehension) with the real-world strategies students need to thrive—time management, study systems, and self-advocacy.
A typical session includes a mix of targeted instruction, skill practice, and strategy coaching. For example, we might break down a writing assignment, map out a study schedule, or practice how to approach a teacher with questions. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, goals, and learning style.
What sets me apart is my dual background as both a certified teacher and a Life Strategist for Young Adults. I don’t just help students get better grades—I help them gain confidence, independence, and the tools to succeed far beyond the classroom.
