About Adrian
I am a teacher with 8 years of experience. I have taught EFL/ESOL in China and the UK for 6 years, while I have also completed a PGCE in Primary Education and have worked in various Primary schools in the UK. While I haven't worked in the industries, I have a significant background in drama, theatre and creative writing. One day I hope to publish a children's book, or an academic piece about teaching.

I prefer a communicative approach to teaching language, and believe it is most important to create an effective motivation cycle. Therefore, I try to ascertain the interests of my students, what skills they want to improve, and generate engaging contexts for them to practise in. For example, if a student who is interested in journalism wants to improve their listening ability, we might structure a lesson on listening for detail and comprehension exercises, before attempting some interview roleplay.
