About Miriam
I have a qualfied ESL/EFL instructor with several years experience teaching in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and in Guadalajara Mexico. I have a Bachelors degree, am a licenced Paralegal in Ontario, and worked for years in the film/tv industry as a hairstylist technician on many productions, including Murdoch Mysteries.
I know learning English is sometimes scary and difficult and many students feel a lot of pressure. I use humour and fun and want to learn about my students to help them learn in a relaxed environment and focus on their strengths and capacity.
I studied ESL/EFL teaching at a non-profit school and have a post-graduate diploma and also have (concealed information) certification in teaching test preparation, e.g. IELTS.

I use a communicative methodology, and focus on all four areas of language; reading, writing, speaking and listening. I can also help with reducing your accent by focusing on pronunciation.
I am a licenced Paralegal and can help you if you are a law professional who wants to work on your English skills for working as a legal professional
