About Tim
I’m a Curriculum Leader of Mathematics with 13 years of teaching experience, and I’m genuinely passionate about helping students succeed. Over the years, I’ve supported countless learners in achieving outstanding GCSE exam results, and I love seeing their confidence grow as everything starts to click.
Students describe me as approachable, patient, and easy to talk to, which helps create a relaxed learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and tackling tricky topics. My Approach to GCSE Maths Tutoring
I take a structured, exam-focused approach to tutoring, using clear explanations and step-by-step methods to help students build strong foundations in every GCSE Maths topic. My teaching style is calm, supportive, and highly focused on developing real understanding rather than memorising procedures. I break down tricky concepts into manageable parts and use targeted practice to build confidence and exam-ready skills.
️ Lesson Length
Each lesson lasts 1 hour, giving enough time to review key topics, practise exam-style questions, and address any areas of difficulty without overwhelming the student.
Qualifications & Experience
I bring 13 years of teaching experience, working with a wide range of learners and helping them progress towards their target GCSE grades. My background allows me to quickly identify gaps, tailor explanations, and provide strategies that genuinely improve performance.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed specifically for GCSE Maths students, typically aged 14–16, but I also support motivated Year 9 students preparing early. Whether a student is aiming for a pass or pushing for top grades, I adapt my teaching to their level and goals.
