About Emily
I'm Emily, currently a sophomore in high school. I've been learning music and playing the flute for over 8 years. I have participated in multiple music festivals and programs like All-County, and out-of-school ensembles like Nassau Suffolk Honor Band. I have been principal flute for a lot of programs and had solo experiences in ensembles. Through these experiences, I developed a strong skill on the instrument itself and a deep passion for music.

I offer beginner flute lessons for students who want to learn the basics, play band excerpts from school, and how to master a repertoire in a supportive and encouraging way. As an experienced flute player, I focus on developing better tone, breathing, and also theory if needed. I'm also willing to help students prepare for conservatory programs and help to pick repertoire that fits them. My teaching style is patient, and I'm happy to communicate to make my students feel comfortable asking questions and learning efficiently.
