About Sobaan
I am Sobaan Naseer, an experienced Physics teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience, specializing in Cambridge O-Level, IGCSE, and A-Level Physics. I hold a Master's degree in Nanoscience and Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, giving me both a strong academic foundation and practical experience in science and nanomaterials research.
My teaching is focused on making Physics clear, logical, and approachable. I combine strong conceptual understanding with structured problem-solving, practical examples, and exam-style questions. I am familiar with Cambridge examination requirements and understand the importance of both mastering the subject and learning how to effectively apply that knowledge in examinations.
Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for your exams, or aiming to improve your grades, I provide structured lessons tailored to your individual needs and level. I believe Physics becomes much easier when students understand the ideas behind the equations rather than simply memorizing formulas. My teaching approach focuses on building strong concepts first and then developing the problem-solving and exam skills needed to apply them confidently.
With over 9 years of experience teaching A-Level Physics, along with current experience teaching O-Level and secondary-level Science, I adapt my lessons to the student's ability, learning style, and specific syllabus requirements. I particularly focus on Cambridge IGCSE and O-Level Physics, including understanding concepts, solving numerical problems, interpreting graphs and diagrams, practical skills, and exam technique.
A typical lesson begins with a short discussion or diagnostic questions to identify what the student already understands and where they are struggling. I then explain the topic using clear examples and step-by-step reasoning, followed by guided problem solving. The final part of the lesson is usually dedicated to exam-style questions and identifying common mistakes. For students preparing for examinations, I also use past papers to develop timing, question interpretation, mark-scheme awareness, and effective answering techniques.
What sets me apart is that I am an experienced classroom Physics teacher, not simply a tutor who has studied the subject. I understand the challenges students face when moving from understanding a topic to actually gaining marks in an examination. My goal is to make students independent problem-solvers who can approach unfamiliar Physics questions with confidence.
My lessons are suitable for Cambridge IGCSE Physics, O-Level Physics, and A-Level Physics students, as well as students who need additional support with secondary-school Physics or want structured preparation for upcoming examinations.
