As a tutor for primary and secondary students, my approach is designed to build a strong foundation in math and science, preparing them for high school and college success. I focus on clarity, engagement, and understanding, aiming to make each lesson both effective and enjoyable.
Teaching Method and Techniques: I use a blend of direct instruction and hands-on learning. I break down complex topics into digestible chunks, often using real-world examples to make abstract concepts more relatable. Interactive activities, problem-solving exercises, and visual aids (like diagrams and graphs) are key components of my lessons. I encourage critical thinking and ask open-ended questions to stimulate curiosity and deeper understanding.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): Quick review of the previous lesson or a recap of key concepts to ensure retention.
Introduction to New Content (15-20 minutes): Clear, step-by-step explanation of the new topic, using visuals and examples.
Guided Practice (15 minutes): Walk students through sample problems, encouraging active participation and questioning.
