About Dillon
Experienced, Patient, and Enthusiastic Math Teacher! I am currently a math teacher in Philadelphia, PA. This is my 7th year teaching. My goal is to help show you math is for everyone. My love for math is demonstrated through engaging educational learning experiences and activities. I am passionate about teaching and helping YOU succeed. I have worked with preschool through middle school-age students. My positive attitude and personality gives those that I help the confidence necessary to succeed. I am extremely easy to communicate with and would love to help you achieve your goals!

1. Teaching Method and Techniques:
I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and my tutoring approach is centered around individualized support to cater to those differences. I prioritize doing what is best for my students, whether that means adapting my methods to fit visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners.
To make learning enjoyable, I incorporate fun and collaborative activities into each session. I strive to create a positive and engaging atmosphere where students feel comfortable to explore concepts together, ask questions, and express their thoughts.
2. Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson I design is both collaborative and engaging. A typical session includes:
Warm-Up Activity: We start with a brief, fun exercise to get everyone thinking and energized.
Challenge Problem: We tackle a more complex problem together, breaking it down step by step. This discussion helps students understand different strategies for solving problems.
Individual Practice: After our collaborative work, students engage in individual practice, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned at their own pace.
Reflection and Synthesis: Finally, we reflect on the lesson, discussing what worked well and what could be improved. This helps students internalize their learning and develop a deeper understanding of the concepts.
