I am studying first year of medicine in Queensland at the moment. With a strong background in mathematics, UCAT,MMI interview skills and a passion for teaching, I believe I am well-equipped to contribute to tutoring team.
My achievements in competition mathematics, including being a multiple-time AMC Prize recipient and qualifying for the AIME, showcase my dedication and proficiency in the field. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to teach UCAT, leveraging my expertise to help students excel in this area. I am confident that my combination of experience, skills, and qualities make me a strong candidate for this position.
I guide students to think logically to understand the mathematical and UCAT concepts.
I start the lessons by solving urgent/recent problems student need help with, then move on with school's schedule.
Students are encouraged to do as many questions in their own time to identify the issues, then consult with me to fix the problem.
The Typical length of a lesson can be from 1 hour to 2 hours with 1:1 or group tutoring. 1:1 is $ 50/hr or $35/hr for group tutoring.
I utilise my experience to help identify key questions students should prioritise doing to help them build up good habits.
