About Vincent
I previously taught through an agency for 11+, preparing students for the most selective secondary grammar and independent schools' entrance exams, teaching Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning on top of Maths. Over 99% of these students would secure a place at their preferred grammar or selective school.
I gained entry to St Olave's Grammar School myself via the 11+, and went on to achieve 8 9s and 2 8s at GCSE and 3 A*s at A-Level in Maths, Economics and History, having already secured an A (the highest grade) in AS Physics.

Having sat my own 11+, GCSE and A-Levels more recently than many other tutors, consistently getting top grades, I am much more able to deliver genuinely contemporary teaching, adapted and adjusted to the current level of competition and exam paper styles, whilst working with the most up-to-date specs.
Beyond this I am experienced in tutoring GCSE Maths, Further Maths, and 11+ Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. My lessons focus on working through the specific exam board's specification in detail, filling in gaps left by teachers, and teaching tricks and methods that I personally used to secure my own grades. To do this I focus on tailoring working out to mark schemes so both method and answer marks are secured, a pitfall many students fall into without realising. By working through the specification, my lessons further allow for more predictable and logical progression through topics, taught in the order and style your exam board actually uses and expects of students.
