About Janita
For a decade I was tutored in almost every subject you could imagine! Being tutored allowed me to improve myself and stay on top of my work, but it's also given me the experience to know what students look for in a tutor. I faced many tutors and teaching styles, and have learnt that adapting the style that works best for the student is paramount to their success. Hence why it is a priority of mine to get to know my student, their likes, and dislikes, why they want to be tutored and what their motivation is so that together, we can plan a structure for our lessons. I openly encourage students to ask questions throughout the class to ensure that learning is clear and comprehensive. For students that may find this daunting, I introduce check-ins and recaps once we've reached the end of the topic instead. My promise to you is that we will get you to perform to your best academic ability! Teamwork makes the dream work :)

I teach Maths, Biology and Chemistry GCSE. My lessons are well structured with time spent learning each module with broken down objectives, followed by time to complete questions. I encourage a collaborative environment so that students are comfortable asking questions, not matter how big or small, so that they can maximise their learning.
