About Jude
I hold a degree in Economics from SOAS, University of London. I'm currently studying a postgraduate degree, also in Economics, at the University of Amsterdam. I worked as a tutor during my bachelor's degree, offering in-person Maths lessons as well as running an after-school debate club with educational charity DebateMate. In the year before I embarked on my current course, I worked as a data analyst for a research-based non-profit. I also hold a TEFL certification.

My teaching is results-focused, with the same close focus on the exam specification that helped me achieve A* at A-level. This means that we'll be using past exam questions to identify the areas where my student needs to improve. When we've worked through the missing knowledge we return to the question for the student to put their new skills into action. Active learning has been shown to be one of the most effective methods to retain new information and I've found that this comes with the added bonus of boosting confidence when the day comes!
I love maths and will happily dive into any areas of special interest with my students; I believe that anyone who believes they're not "good" at maths just hasn't had the right teacher. It's always my aim to ignite or deepen a passion for the subject while my students are developing the technical skills they need to achieve their goals.
