About Labhaoise

My name is Labhaoise and I have a data science degree. I loved maths in Junior Cert but found that the way in which maths was taught for the Leaving Cert made it much less fun. Then in college I took many maths modules, all of them much more fun than the maths I had learned in school. I want to teach because I believe that everyone can enjoy maths and that the way schools present maths can be a barrier to many people.

About the lesson

I believe everyone can be good at maths. It’s not about a natural ability, it’s about understanding the fundamentals and building from there. I will help you prep for tests, clearly explain concepts you don’t understand or simply rebuild your maths skills from the bottom up. I hope I can make maths fun for you and I don’t expect you to do anything but your best!

Deadly! Labhaoise has tutored both of my daughters, where both are in Leaving Cert higher level maths. They both have very high praise for Labhaoise. She explains topics very clearly and adjusts to the different types of learning styles. She has given my daughters confidence in their ability at maths, through her method of explaining the why behind topics. I would highly recommend Labhaoise - she is excellent at tutoring and instils confidence.
