About Sylvana
I am currently at Imperial College London studying Masters degree for Translational Neuroscience. I have a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience with Psychology. I was also a part-time Chemistry teacher at Croydon Metropolitan College last year. With my in-depth knowledge of science I believe I'll be able to teach chemistry in a way that's easy to understand.

I am currently a part-time chemistry teacher at Croydon Metropolitan College, and so I am very well-versed in the OCR/AQA A-level syllabus but I am also capable to teaching chemistry at GCSE or lower levels. I personally prefer to work on the topics my pupil finds the hardest, once those topics are explained in detail and fully understood, I then move onto easier topics on the syllabus. I find this method most effective because it eliminates the fear from the subject from the onset, there's nothing worse than running away from the topics that you feel are your weakest.
I am a patient and friendly tutor and I like to think I teach the course in a way that is interesting and engaging. I graduated this year from a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience, and I will be starting my Masters degree in Translation Neuroscience at Imperial College London in September. I am very aware of what it is like to be studying and feeling academic pressure. With my years of experience I have effective methods of handling pressure and hopefully it is something I can pass onto you.
