My approach is simple — I meet every student exactly where they are. Before any session begins, I review your assignment brief, marking criteria, module learning outcomes, and any existing draft you have. This tells me precisely what you need and how best to help you, so no time is ever wasted.
I adapt completely to each student. Some need me to write alongside them and explain every decision as we go. Others need detailed written feedback on their draft so they can revise and improve independently. Some need to be taught how to search academic databases before they can even begin writing. I cover all of these — and I shift between them fluidly depending on what you need in that session.
My techniques and teaching methodology

Typical length of a lesson
