About Nicki
Hello, I’m Nicki, an experienced primary school teacher with over 12 years of teaching experience across Key Stage 2. I am passionate about helping children build confidence, develop a love of learning and achieve their full potential.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with children across Years 4 to 6, including several years supporting Year 6 pupils as they prepare for their SATs. I understand the expectations of the primary curriculum and know how to identify the small steps children need to take to make progress.
I currently work as a Maths and Phase Lead, supporting other teachers and helping to develop high quality teaching and learning within my school. This has given me a strong understanding of how children learn best and how to adapt lessons to suit individual needs.
I have particular experience in:
• Key Stage 2 Maths, including times tables, arithmetic and reasoning
• SATs preparation for Year 6 pupils
• Reading comprehension and writing skills
• Supporting children to close gaps in their learning
• Building confidence and independence
Every child has different strengths and areas for development, so I take time to understand each pupil and create personalised sessions that help them succeed.
