About Helena

I am Helena and will study psychology at Warwick University for the coming academic year 2018/2019 as an exchange student. My home university is in Spain. Originally I am from Germany where I finished high school. After that I took a gap year working as an Au Pair and Volunteer in Mexico and since 2016 moved to Spain for studies.

Since year 10 in high school I have been tutoring children. Back in Germany I taught Latin to a 12 year old student. As an Au Pair in Mexico I worked with children attending the Swiss College teaching them German.
Since 2016 I started teaching six young children from 8 to 15 years and one adult in German and English with and without previous knowledge as well as sciences and Maths.

Now during my stay in Coventry I would be very happy to go on supporting students through tuition classes. I speak German (mother tongue), Spanish B2 and English C1 (IELTS).
I am able to teach German as well as Spanish to beginners or with some previous knowledge up to A-levels or adults who would like to start or refresh their knowledge.
I can teach Maths up to A-levels as well as other sciences up to GCSE level.

About the lesson

I enjoy teaching a lot where I can share my knowledge and help my students through their academic life to achieve their desired grades.
Even though a subject might seem tough at the beginning I am convinced with the right support by the teacher and the right approach based on the students' needs and skills any subject can be achievable.
In my language lessons I focuse on conversation in topics chosen by my students or in Maths directed exercises done in schools.
I have been tutoring a wide range of students in different subjects for almost 5 years now and always found joy in this activity. I consider every student as an individual with individual qualities which makes me always try to find the most adaptable way to develop the needed qualifications of a subject in order to achieve not just the academic requirements but also my students' individual goals.
