About Joseph
I'm a freelance actor and director based in London who's spent a great deal of time learning about the history and practice of acting. It's my ambition to help others with the knowledge and experience I've gained during my time in this wonderful, strange, exciting and at times - chaotic profession :)

A typical session includes the following: - Check-In. An opportunity to touch base, find out how you'd like to use the time and what short, medium or long term goals you might be pursuing and how we might work towards those. - Exercises & Practice. Be it continuing work from a previous session or using exercises just to prepare for work, we'll utilise exercises derived from century-old acting methods and create new ones to speak to your needs and areas for development. - Performance & Feedback. Utilising monologues and other artistic material, you'll have the opportunity to practise acting, receiving feedback and a personalised development plan. - Reflections & Planning ahead. Mirroring the start of our session, we'll look to reflect on any discoveries you've had and put in a plan for your further development in a process led by you. My lessons include training in Stanislavskian psychological Realism, Vakhtangovian Fantastic Realism, Viewpoints training for devised theatre, in addition to a variety of techniques derived from other acting schools. At RCSSD, I graduated from the MA Actor Training and Coaching degree, one of only two courses in the world of its kind. I'm also a PhD Candidate at The Guildford School of Acting.
