Typically, lessons last 60 minutes, though this can vary depending on the student's age, needs, and attention span. I strive to make each session dynamic and interactive, especially for younger learners, to maintain engagement and foster a love for learning.
Holding a Master of Science (MSc) in Marine Biology from Dalhousie University, I have developed a solid foundation in scientific principles, which I leverage to enhance my teaching and mentoring. My experience creating educational content for Ocean School has honed my ability to simplify complex concepts for elementary students, while my role as a Tutor with the Paper Tutoring Company has allowed me to apply these techniques across various age groups and subjects, fostering both academic and personal growth.
I am equipped to mentor a wide range of students: from young children developing their foundational knowledge and inquiry skills to older students advancing their understanding of biology and honing their critical thinking abilities.
