About Altaf
I am a qualified Computer Science teacher with a unique background: before entering the classroom, I spent 25 years as a Senior Systems Engineer at institutions like Brunel University London. My career has spanned from managing global IT infrastructure to leading cyber security initiatives. Beyond the screen, I am a trekker and traveller, which has taught me the resilience and cross-cultural awareness I bring to every tutoring session.

I believe Computer Science is a "doing" subject, not just a "reading" one. My approach bridges the gap between the AQA GCSE specification and the 25 years of industry experience I gained as a Senior Systems Engineer. I don't just teach you how to pass an exam; I show you how algorithms and cyber security work in the real world. By using scaffolding and interactive Python challenges, I break down complex "brain-teasers" into manageable steps. My goal is to foster the resilience and confidence you need to become a fearless problem solver.
