About Dekontee
Hey and hello! I have been teaching for about 8 years favorite part about teaching acting or improv is watching a kid come out of their shell. I love seeing them open up and learn to express themselves. Acting in my opinion is a wonderful way to increase self-esteem! I believe in taking time to create a safe space for students to learn and grow and focusing on the process rather than just results. I studied musical theatre at Vanguard University and worked with Broadway veterans at Open Jar Institute. After graduating I studied improv at Second City in Hollywood.
I have taught at companies such as Disney, Take the Stage Productions, Ink Theater, and most recently New York Film Academy.

I have worked with young students from 4 years old all the way to age 18 and older. I work well with students who are interested in becoming stronger actors or want to have more confidence in everyday life.
