About John Michael
John Michael Sloan is a Private acting teacher with over 16 years of experience of being on stage. John Michael uses a unique approach in combining Character Study, Analysis, and Creation methods from different techniques. John Michael has taught acting to ages 8 to 40. John Michael carries with him the experience of a BFA in Musical Theatre from Lees-McRae College as well as being a current professional Actor in the surrounding area.
I love the excitement on a students face as they make a breakthrough in their monologue or selected piece. Acting is all about discovery and each time a students makes a discovery it warms my heart to see them making wonderful progress.

Here at All Out Acting I use a 5 step process in getting to know a new student.
Acting is a very personal experience so I like to get to know my students so that I can better help them on their journey!
First we talk about the students goals and aspirations. Where exactly the student would like to go in the coarse of their lessons.
Second we discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the student, any that they may have noticed in their experience, or if no experience is had, what they would like to focus on to make their strengths.
Steps 3, 4, and 5 you will have to come find out for yourself!
