About Hermon

Greetings my name is Hermon Whaley Jr. and I am a NYC based Actor, Writer and Drag Queen.

I have passions for both classical theater and mascara! I studied acting at SUNY Purchase receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in 2015. Since graduation I have worked at The Public Theater here in NYC and the Shakespeare Theater Company located in DC.

In the belief that knowledge is power I enjoy sharing my power with others.

I began teaching in college. Our classes were structured to give us the tools to coach one another and most importantly the resources to coach ourselves.

I studied acting at the SUNY at Purchase College where I received my B.F.A. in Acting. I received conservatory training dedicating more than 50 hours a week to voice/speech, acting, and movement classes.

About the lesson

I like to sit down with students and assess their goals and how they envision our work together. As every student is different I like to then create a list of goals together that we can accomplish as a team. This is where I challenge my students most to focus their energy so that we discover their unique path.

I have worked with both professional actors coaching auditions and young students through my experiences as a Teaching Artist.

I am currently on staff with the Story Pirates a company dedicated to encouraging students to write their own stories to see them brought to life by our company of actors.

Details

I structure our work in 1 hour sessions at a rate of $60. Our initial session is 2 hours (1 hour- personal assessement/ 1 hour- personal coaching) is $120.00.
