About Jan
I am an MSc student of Data Science & Business Analytics at Bocconi. Prior to that, I was a full-time teacher of Economics, Mathematics and Business Studies, delivering International A-levels and IGCSE in a private, selective high school in Poland. I graduated with a 1st Class Degree in Economics from the Durham Business School. My students achieved high grades across different year groups and subjects. I have 5 years of experience coaching and tutoring youth for both academic and personal development.

Hi! I am very keen to teach and share my passion for Economics.
In my classes, I try to combine theory with practice, by presenting the knowledge about the academic discipline, together with the use of case studies and relevant online materials.
A typical lesson will start with an engaging question to guide us through the class. Then, we talk about the economic theories and models, giving emphasis to the way in which exam wishes students to understand them. Then, we make use of case studies and news pieces to further our discussion and ask ourselves: "can we see this model working in reality?". Lastly, we would practice a specific exam skill, such as calculation or essay writing.
My hope is to instil a passion and interest in the subject, that will motivate them to pursue it independently.
