About Summer
Hello! I am an independent tutor looking for students, of any age, who are in need of assistance in certain subjects. I worked for a community college, where I tutored Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, and Math for almost 4 years. I also have 2 Associates degrees, and one is a degree in science with an emphasis on Anatomy. I am very passionate about helping others to not just attain but also retain information. I know that there are different styles of learning in which a class setting is not always beneficial and requires more one-on-one attention. I offer personalized sessions in which I offer hands-on, visual, and auditory methods for each and every student. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate almost any time of day. I pride myself in my knowledge, enthusiasm, and effectiveness in these subjects and I want to help students to get the most out of their Anatomy and/or Biology classes!
I was a student that excelled in Anatomy, physiology, and biology and the college I went to was looking for tutors in these specific subjects. I started then but did so well that they kept me on for years after.
I have almost 4 years experience tutoring these subjects. I ran both group and individual tutoring sessions. I also have an Associates of science with an emphasis on Anatomy.

When I get a new student I like to get a feel for their personality and learning style. I want to know how they best learn and what they connect with. Do they like to write things down? Do they need some physical demonstration or hands-on work? What are the things that create a strong connection for them?
I've worked mainly with college level students, but can assist most ages and education levels.
I would recommend finding someone who actually enjoys the subject they teach. If the teacher finds it exciting they will be the most motivated and will make it fun and interesting for their students as well.
I organized a practice exam a week before a major exam for a class of students, and most of the students who attended the practice exam passed the actual exam with flying colors and i was so proud and excited.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
There are absolutely no stupid questions. If you don't get it just ask. If you're teacher or instructor really cares about your education, which most do, they will not mind answering any questions you have.
