About Michael
I’ve been teaching Drums since 2010 for and my students have gone on to be successful in School Bands, Church Bands, Original Bands, as well as make 1st Chair in their Schools. I have also helped students prepare for Auditions for State and College. Within the first few lessons, you’ll be able to Play with great technique and as time goes on you’ll be able to groove with the beat.
I am a drummer and drum educator from Houston Texas. I studied Music under Chuck Throckmortonat St. Thomas High School. I took private lessons from Houston Jazz Legend Joe Raynor. I studied Jazz Drumset under Ed Soph, and Afro-Cuban and Brazilian percussion with Jose Aponte at University of North Texas.
I have been playing drums since 1992, I began playing professionally in 2000, and I have been a full-time Professional Musician since 2009 playing with the Irish rock band Blaggards. I have toured the United States with many groups since 1999 and have made multiple tours to Europe.
