About Jared

My service stands out because I am truly passionate about learning and sharing that knowledge with others. I am able to address the particular curriculum of a given course as well as add other supplementary information that may be of interest to students that would not be covered during traditional class time.

I enjoy learning about history and seeing people expand their knowledge on these topics. Our history shapes the way we see the world and how our society operates. It is important to me that students are able to comprehend how world history affects the way we live our date to day lives now.

I began tutoring first in my hometown during high school and continued working with students and classmates as a guide through undergraduate studies.

In high school, I was an advanced honors graduate with a self-guided concentration on history and politics. As an undergraduate student, I graduated with a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Legal Studies. Through each semester of undergraduate studies, I received Deans's List honors.

About the lesson

Typically I would begin by spending time getting acquainted with the specific curriculum that a student is looking to learn more about. I then begin studying and reading from various sources so I am able to provide more information beyond what would be learned just through a textbook.

I have worked with students with an age range of 12-20 in areas of study including History, Government and Politics, Writing and English, and Basic Mathematics.
