About Eric

I have the experience and education necessary for tutoring stuents of all ages, grades, backgrounds, and abilities effectively. I have a Master's Degree in Secondary Education with a History endoresment and a Bacehlor's Degree in Political Science with minors in History and Urban & Regional Planning. I strive to assist students in achieving their academic goals, whether that involves class or homework, test preparation, or the writing of papers, I will give them the tools necessary to succeed in their academic endeavors.

I began as a substitute, and through my Master's program I observed and parttook in teaching lessons and designing agendas for the day, and now I am looking to tutor students who can use the extra assistance in their studies.

I have substituted, observed classes, and taken part in the educational process over the past few years. I have experience working with students who have special needs and require additional assistance.

About the lesson

I like to ask the student to write down their goals, things they would like to learn in the day's session, and things they look forward to building on from the day before. No matter the student's ability, it is important to set clear objectives to drive the lesson of the day.

I have worked with students of all ability levels, ages, and requirements. I have worked closely with students who have special needs or require alternative learning methods.

I would let them know that while teachers don't know everything, it is our job to equip students to think outside of the box, to be creative and think critically about the topic at hand. We can all learn more everyday, so being able to comprehend and relate information to questions and expectations is crucial.

In my day job I work for a New York State Assembly Office and each time we meet a constituent we have assisted through a difficult time I am very proud of the work I do. My job is to hear concerns and help people, so in doing that I am happy that people get the assistance they need.

Students should assess their needs and ask teachers to track their progress, understanding and comprehension. Students should ask how they can better equip themselves to succeed and achieve higher marks.
