I love to help others maximize their potential, determine their life goals and achieve them!

I started teaching in 2009 right out of college and I sincerely enjoyed it. After 2 years of teaching I went back for my masters. My love for tutoring is persnal as a close family memeber needed extra support with speech and basic vocabulary. Seeing the difference his tutor had in getting him through kindergarten and the fundamentals helped me recognize what a difference I can make with my extra time and individuals personal efforts in the process.

About the lesson

Intial screening to determine baseline abilities in given content area and establishement of goals, i.e prepartation for exams, enrichment for college, or learnging a new arts or craft. Once goals have been identified a schedule is set up and prelimnary tutoring session.

I have worked with elementary, middle and highschool students. I also have experience with students with mild disbabilites. My current postion is instructing adult learners and assisting them in obtain their GED. I have worked with culturally diverse groups and student from all income backgrounds.

Things look great on paper, ensure time and committment in the process, the saying is so true, " students do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care." Therefore I would advise to spend time in conversation to ensure it is the best fit for all.

Volunterring at a Lifetime Assitance 5k, raising money and seeinfg indiviudals meet their goals in the process of the event.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Basic understanding of what their needs are and ultimatley what informatin they need. Great questions are awesome but if it does not yield necessary infomation they are not meaningful. Basic thinking processes and clarity is main ideas if very helpful when determining needs and asking the right questions.
