About Ty

After Ty's college career, and a year of serving as a D1 assistant wrestling coach, he pursued a professional career as a college professor and IT Management Professional.

Although he enjoys his current profession, he found that wrestling and helping others achieve their own brand of athletic excellence was something he truly enjoyed, and many have expressed their appreciation.

Co-coached several Division I All-Americans and wrestlers of all ages; many have won state titles, placements, and national recognition.

***Approach: Create a comfortable environment where parents can sit mat-side and if they wish, be involved in the coaching and learning process during sessions. Parents, often bring considerable insight into what kids need to work on and that wrestlers with "Family Support" often do well!
*** Focus on core moves and building foundation on elements until mastered; and then working to tailor additional technique to individuals.
***Focus on drilling and mastery of technique as well as strategic and tactical philosophy on the mat
***Goal: Provide top-notch Division 1 level coaching at affordable and sustainable prices for kids and their families.
*** Pair kids up with a drill partner close to their size when possible

COLLEGE-LEVEL 1: SCALE OF ACHIEVEMENT (COACH: HOWARD)
OBJECTIVES:
• Document, quantify, target, and measure development

STANCE
• Smooth fluid movements in all directions

INSIDE TIE SERIES
• Controlled opponents with proper grip
