About Jacqueline
I am a first-year graduate student at Columbia University's Teachers College with 8 years of tutoring experience. During this time, I have taught Math, Test Prep, English and Spanish to a diverse range of students, including young children, middle and high school students and adults from the U.S., Latin America and Asia. I have experience with one-on-one lessons (both online and in-person) and with groups in a classroom setting. I am very patient and always adapt my teaching based on the level, learning style and personality of each individual student. My "classroom" is a safe-space in which students can feel at ease to ask questions and practice whatever it is their struggling with, without being afraid of criticism or making mistakes. I believe that learning should be a fun and engaging experience both in and outside the classroom, but understand that for some students it isn't. My goal is to change that for those students, by creating a warm environment in which they can feel absolutely comfortable. I earned a perfect 5-star rating from over 50 satisfied clients on my previous tutoring platform. Please note, English is my native language but I also speak Spanish fluently.
