About Elizabeth
I'm currently a grad student at UVA, but I spent the last 8 years teaching junior high science in Texas. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science, as well as Integrated Physics and Chemistry. I have also taught 6th grade math, and assisted my science students with their Algebra 1 and Geometry. My undergrad degree is in elementary education with an emphasis in science.
I have also tutored high school algebra, biology, and chemistry.
I have worked with students since freshman year of college in a variety of settings. I've been teaching junior high students since I graduated college in 2012.

First thing I want to do is get to know them, and build that foundational trust. From there we can focus on strengths and weaknesses to best meet the needs of the student.
Find someone you're comfortable with. If you're struggling in the topic, you need someone who can explain it differently, and in a way that relates to you, which can only happen if you are both comfortable in the situation.
