About Habiba
I like to get to know my students before I customize their lesson plans. It is important for me to highlight their strengths and focus on improving areas where they feel they could use the extra help. I invest my time thoroughly in each lesson making sure my students' educational needs are being fulfilled.
I enjoy the variety of subjects that come my way and the uniqueness each student brings to the table. I have helped students get A+ averages in classes they were struggling to maintain a D- in. I enjoy teaching a lesson by breaking it down to the basics and watching my students grasp it much better when I teach it to them.
I became interested in teaching when I offered tutoring services in 2015 and successfully helped several students excel in their coursework. My passion for teaching solidified during that time and I went on to continue offering tutoring services in different parts of the country.
I have a Master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics, a Bachelor's in Forensic Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have excelled in courses ranging from general biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics all the way to graduate courses in cardiac and animal physiology, biochemistry, anatomy. I have been a freelance tutor since 2015. I have also worked with my affiliated University (VCU) as a student-athlete tutor.

I believe each student is unique and requires a customized lesson plan. I spend my first session understanding the student's needs and what learning areas they hit roadblocks in. I set both short-term and long-term goals for my students and make sure they learn how to pace themselves.
