About MEI-LING
I have been told by many students that I am very good at breaking down complex concepts into simpler ideas for illustration. I am also familiar with the learning pyramid--the best ways for students to retain information are teaching others and doing the work themselves. I am a huge fan of visual learning, which is the preferred choice of learning for many students.
Seeing students grasp information quickly after discussing problems, students who care about the material, students who perform well on tests after practicing problems
I informally tutor many students in my current classes and decided that I would officially pursue tutoring.
- 12+ years of experience in math classes (Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Numerical Methods)
- 8 years of experience in working in a STEM field (Aerospace Engineer)
- Currently attending school as a biology major (very familiar with biology and chemistry material)

Deadly! We hired Mei-Ling to tutor our 10 year old in Math. Our son enjoys spending time with her and hasn't complained once about "learning". Mei-Ling is very talented, patient, and understanding and she makes each session a positive, interactive experience.
