About Rachel
Rachel is a licensed elementary school teacher. She is currently teaching 2nd grade in Chicago, though she has tutored individuals (both virtually and in-person ranging from 4-36 years old) for the past 10+ years.
Rachel graduated P.L. Honors College at UMSL summa cum laude in 2017 and is currently receiving her Master’s degree at SXU. As a straight-A student and previous Investigative Analyst, Rachel tutored mainly family members and friends of the family until she went for her masters in education and became a licensed full-time teacher. Rachel wishes to share her unique experience and knowledge with students either struggling to keep up in school, or wishing to get ahead and challenge themselves further.
Tackling new or previously misunderstood material provides a sense of pride and accomplishment for each student. Rachel enjoys being able to guide students in realizing that, not only are they intelligent enough to solve each problem, but that that they should believe in themselves just as much as she believes in them!
Her shift into the education field exhibits her love for teaching and mentoring, as she thoroughly enjoy working with children and young adults both virtually and in-person. Rachel can tutor any subject (she teaches all subjects) with math as her favorite/specialty.

I prefer the student send me some materials (from school, their workbook, etc.) to show me what specifically they need extra assistance with. This way, I can make sure I am over-prepared to be able to help the student in any and all ways possible for the most success!
